Discovering Beth Newman Reiki Ellsworth ME

By Patrick Bailey

When it comes to holistic art forms of healing, there are different ones. One of the most popular is that of the Japanese Healing Art Reiki ellsworth ME. For, Beth Newman leads healing circles and teaches individual and group classes in the holistic healing art form. While this is the case, there has never been any documented proof as to the healing art having cured medical conditions.

Practitioners most often use an open hands or palm down approach to transfer positive energy from the universal energy force into problem areas of a client. In using the hands in this manner, the practitioner can direct the positive energy to different areas of the body for healing. In most cases, individuals also believe this energy transference has the power to promote and encourage emotional and physical healing.

A pseudoscience, the holistic healing art form is often used as an example of a mystical practice in a number of scholarly texts and academic journals. For, the practice is based solely on being able to direct the chi or qi energy in ways which can heal different aspects of the human body. Whether or not chi or qi exist, individuals providing and receiving treatments seem to know, understand and use the energy force on an ongoing basis.

Recent clinical research has shown that there is no proof as to whether the holistic healing art form has been successful in treating medical conditions. While true, a number of practitioners and clients will most likely disagree. Whereas, investigations into the practice have shown that even when results of research studies result in a positive experience, most individuals believe the research was flawed.

When it comes to cancer, most agree that individuals should not replace traditional modes of care. Although, adding this healing technique to an existing treatment plan could provide positive results. For, the positive life force with which practitioners work has no side effects or interactions with other ongoing treatment.

Mika Usui developed Reiki in 1922 in Japan. Since then, the holistic healing art form has been modified and adapted based on cultural traditions around the world. As a result, different Reiki Masters and healers may have different approaches or teach differently from others.

In the dictionary, the term Reiki is defined as a mysterious environment or miraculous sign. The definition was coined in the year 1001. By combining the terms rei meaning soul and ki meaning vital energy, the term Reiki was born. While it is easy to understand how the word was created, the ideology and how the art form was created largely remains a mystery.

In Japan, the terms are inferred in a different manner. For, in Japan rei means spirit and ki can relate to consciousness, vital energy or breath of life. All aspects of the word are primarily used in reference to the energy force known as qi or chi. When asked to define the energy, most clients suggest feeling somewhat of a vibrational buzz during or after a treatment of this nature.
