Some Essential Oil Alternative To The OTC Medicines

Ever since, the naturally made essential oils are use already by most people for healing and as well for treating most physical ailments and mental ailments. The components are not toxic since these are natural substances, thus, can be easily eliminated away from a body. And those prescription or the over the counter drugs contain synthetic substances that the bodies cannot metabolize and eliminate.

For the reason that body organs cannot break down the said compounds, it can be possible that these will end up in waste areas including fatty tissues and the brain. This will happen due to the passing of the synthetic toxins in the kidney, spleen, and liver. The most possible critical problem when this will happen is body normal functioning disruption because of toxins which are attached already to the tissues. In the following paragraphs, the different types of essential oil alternative will be given as alternatives for the OTC drugs.

First, treatment for congestion, colds, allergies, coughs, and sinusitis. Essential oils such as peppermint and eucalyptus have antiviral, decongestant, and expectorant properties. Bay, angelica, myrrh, thyme, spruce, and camphor also help relieve the sinus congestion when being inhaled. A laurel leaf essential oil helps the strengthening of a body resistance to viruses. This helps building up immune systems and boosting respiratory systems.

Second is for acne. The jojoba oil or also called as the carrier oil is known for balancing the oily skin and clearing acne. This can either be used alone or with the mixture of some other oils. Tea tree is an antiseptic which kills the bacteria that cause acne. It can also be used for the elimination of blackheads.

Third is treatment for athletes foot. Lavender contains properties for antiseptic and healing. A tea tree helps also for the treatment of athletes foot since it has the property of anti fungal. Geranium and birch essential oils contain anti inflammatory property and soothing property. The lemongrass is utilized for deodorizing and for drying.

Fourth, backaches and muscle pains. Qualities of a helichrysum include anti inflammatory and analgesic for decreasing the muscle pains by improving circulation, lowering swelling, and lowering inflammation. Rosemary is consist of high camphor components which will provide great warming in aching muscles. The properties include also stimulating and soothing for the relaxation of muscles and encouragement of blood circulation.

Fifth, treatment of cuts and of burns. The tea tree and the lavender both have antiseptic, soothing, and healing properties, applied undiluted to burned skins and abrasions. Rose, marigold, geranium, and chamomile contain properties of healing and soothing ideal for cuts and burns treatment.

Sixth is treatment of psoriasis, rashes, dry skin and itchy skin, and eczema. Treating the inflamed skins is used by soothing and anti inflammatory qualities of chamomile, violet, and bergamot. Lavender, myrrh, and geranium properties are for healing the damaged skins. A sandalwood and a marigold treat itchy skin and dry skin.

Seventh, treating headache. The qualities of rose, lavender, chamomile, violet, helichrysum, and ambrette include relaxing and analgesic. For relieving tension, thyme, frankincense, and clary sage may be used. Eighth, treatment of morning sickness, nausea, upset stomach, and indigestion. A peppermint essential oil aids digestion. It is also used as tonic for people with low appetite and also helps treat morning sickness, nausea, and upset stomach.
