Our ancestors used herbs to manage diseases and any other health problems. However, these have been since replaced with drugs and other therapies now found in our hospitals. As a digestive tonic and mild laxative, it stimulates the liver to secrete more bile to improve the digestion process, stimulate the stomach and gall bladder and even activates the salivary glands all necessary for proper digestion. This, however, requires that you work with the doctor as it may not be recommended for unborn babies.
